At the heart of every bottle of Warbringer & Warmaster bourbon lies the magnificent mesquite. Our recipe starts at the smoke box, with the careful burning of mesquite wood from Texas. Inside our custom-built smoking chambers, racks of double-cracked flaking grits corn are immersed for multiple days in cold, clean, mesquite smoke.

HISTORY

There is perhaps no plant more important to Southwest history than mesquite. The mesquite has been a revered resource for millennia, fulfilling a variety of sustaining functions for native tribes, early European explorers and American settlers alike.  The Pima Indians even called the mesquite "Tree of Life" for its central role in their survival and culture.​
